South Seattle Community College Map

South Seattle College (SSC) is a public community college in West Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1970, it is one of three colleges which make up the Seattle Colleges District. The Seattle Community Colleges District Board of Trustees voted unanimously in March 2014 to change the name of the District to Seattle Colleges and to change the names of the colleges to Seattle Central College, North Seattle College and South Seattle College. It is home to the South Seattle College Arboretum and incorporates the Georgetown Campus near Boeing Field.

South Seattle College is a 2-year community college with two campuses in the greater Seattle area. In addition to offering over 30 degree and certificate programs, South provides the opportunity to earn bachelor’s degrees in Hospitality Management, Sustainable Building Science Technology, and Professional Technical Education and Instructional Design. Students also have the opportunity to train for an apprenticeship in 20 different trades. South’s main campus is located on a West Seattle hilltop featuring views of the downtown skyline and Mount Rainier.
